Funky Monkey Lodge
The Funky Monkey Lodge is located only 650 feet (200 meters) from the beach in Santa Teresa, on a hill surrounded by tropical gardens. Santa Teresa is a small beach town, next to Malpais, and both are famous for having some of the best surfing spots and nicest beaches on the Pacific Coast.
You can just relax on the beach or at the hotel Funky Monkey Lodge, but there is also a range of activities to be done in this area. These include surfing, horseback riding, yoga and Canopy or ATV Tours. The Cabo Blanco National Park, located on the tip of the Nicoya Peninsula, is a great place to go hiking and see the diverse tropical flora of the area and wildlife such as monkeys or different birds.
The hotel Funky Monkey Lodge offers peace and quiet because it is set back from the street, but the beach is only a short walk away. There are different types of accommodation, but all the rooms have a partially open air bathroom and a balcony with hammocks to enjoy the beautiful and lush gardens.
Breakfast and dinner can be enjoyed at the open air restaurant, offering typical Costa Rican food, but also fresh fish specialties and international cuisine. For those wanting to cook their own meal, there is a fully equipped communal kitchen available. The pool has ocean view and massages can be arranged through the hotel.

Bungalows: Have beds with orthopaedic mattresses, ceiling fan, a small kitchenette, fridge and safe box. The 6-8 person bungalow has 4 single beds downstairs and 4 single beds upstairs, there are no separate rooms.
Suite: is a large room equipped with a double bed and also a double sofa bed, two ceiling fans and a safe box.
Apartments: have ocean view, A/C, safe box and access to a kitchen. The small apartment has 1 Queen sized bed and 2 single beds, the large apartment has 1 Queen sized bed and 4 single beds.
The 4 Persons Room has 4 single beds, with fan and a private bathroom.
