Griss Lodge
The bungalows are constructed entirely from local wood and from the outside resemble elaborate tree houses. Make no mistake, though – these homes are filled with ample amenities that will keep guests happy and comfortable. All have a private hot water bathroom and outdoor shower. Large living rooms are lined with equally large windows, which look out onto the garden area and have screens that allow in cool breezes. There are both one-level and two-level options, and all have a kitchen, thereby providing guests with the ability to cook and store food at home. All bungalows have sofa beds in the living room and a private bedroom with a double bed; in the two-story homes, the bedroom is on the second floor. A covered terrace with hammocks extends the bungalow outdoors and provides guests with a wonderful spot to relax during the afternoon or evening.
Guests will enjoy strolling through the hotel’s bountiful garden, which often attracts monkeys, birds and iguanas. There is a small, simple swimming pool to cool off in and the public beach is a short walk away. If you’re not up for cooking or eating out in the town, Griss runs its own Italian restaurant where you can enjoy a wide range of delectable food and drink.
